Where our data comes from
Last updated: October 16, 2026
BidWatch Daily only lists contract opportunities that government bodies publish openly so that businesses can find them. We collect them from official public sources, once a day.
Sources
- Federal: SAM.gov, the official U.S. government system for contract opportunities, through its public data files and API. Also the SBA's public list of subcontracting opportunities.
- States: the official procurement portals that states run to publish their solicitations.
- Local government: the official websites of cities, counties, special districts, public housing authorities, school districts and public colleges, and government open-data portals.
We do not collect from private bid platforms or from any page that requires an account or a login.
What we copy
Only basic facts of each notice: title, agency, location, solicitation number, dates, set-aside type and the link to the official notice. We do not copy the solicitation documents or full descriptions, and we always send you to the original source to read and respond.
How we collect
- We follow each site's robots.txt rules. If a site asks automated tools not to read a page, we do not read it.
- We collect from each source once a day, pausing between pages, and identify ourselves as “BidWatchDaily” with a link to this page.
- We never get around logins, paywalls, CAPTCHAs or other access controls.
For agencies and website owners
If you run one of these websites and want us to stop reading it, to correct a notice or to remove one, write to support@bidwatchdaily.com with the page address. We act on requests within 2 business days. You can also block our reader with robots.txt using the user agent “BidWatchDaily”.
Accuracy
We collect notices automatically, so something can be missed, late or wrong. The official notice always prevails. If you see an error, tell us at support@bidwatchdaily.com.
